Lab results are the published reports of THC, THCA, CBD, CBDA, CBG, and CBN levels in milligrams for samples of marijuana products. Labs are required to test for and report microorganisms, pesticides, cannabinoids, heavy metals and more in the samples.

Cannabinoid potency tests are considered “passing” if they are +/- 15% of the stated amount.

The California Department of Health requires and oversees all testing of medical cannabis (Senate Bill 643).

Testing for cannabinoids ensures that marijuana samples are true to their packaging labeling and potent enough for sale. The results also help paint a picture of what effects to expect.
